It’s hard to tell from this ad… But Florida Water is eau de cologne, not a drink.
It’s been around for over 200 years, and you can still buy it, supposedly made with the same formula, in a beautiful bottle that has hardly changed… And it’s still inexpensive!
I used to wear it… sometimes that, sometimes a somewhat similar one called 4711. Both are light, citrusy and floral scents.
Eau de cologne is the lightest form of cologne, so it doesn’t have a lot of strong ingredients, or for that matter, staying power, so for 5 or 6 dollars it’s a good starter “perfume” for young girls, and some guys use it for aftershave.
This is a peddler, or as they preferred, a street merchant, on the lower East side of Manhattan, taken in 1905.
With his sturdy wagon, he has a small store on wheels… His inventory seems to include knives, jewelry, maybe some tools… I’ve been trying to figure out whether the things on the right are soft goods, like yarn, caps and gloves, or food, like rather mishapen bagels and rolls, as bagels were often strung on wire, and he does have a basket of apples.
Lol… Yes, it’s Roger Miller singing it, on the original site, and I think in that video clip.
The creator of the Hampster Dance later admitted to that.
The site was on GeoCities, and I recall some weirdness, where somebody else just outright stole her un-copyrighted code and duplicated it on another platform, with ads.
Then GeoCities shut down, and she had to go elsewhere, and there seemed to be two sites.
She put out a plea, for people to go to her new site instead of the pirate one.
Then she and some partners actually turned the music into a record, but they had to record another version, because either Disney or Roger Miller objected
She also said it’s the Hampster Dance, with a P, because it’s named after her hamster, Hampton, who, for some reason she couldn’t explain, is a hampster.

You can see her inadvertently kicking the board back as she jumps…
But I’d think it would be hard to jump without doing that.
Yes, she’d have to be moving faster and jump straight up trusting that she had enough momentum to clear the bar.
