The song is from “The Pajama Game.” In the 1957 film version it is sung by John Raitt, (father of Bonnie Raitt) as Sid Sorokin.
As near as I can tell, Rosemary Clooney sang this version on “The Lux Show” which aired on December 19, 1957.
As evicence, I offer the link below.

PointyTailofSatan: “Aaron Copland’s publishing company refused to allow ELP to record this. So Emerson actually called Copland, and Copland was intrigued. He asked Emerson to send him a recording so he could hear it. Copland LOVED it, and gave ELP the right to record it. Amusingly, Copland found Emerson’s solo in the piece “very strange” lol.”
and, later….
PointyTailofSatan (reply@Steve Wilcox): Copland: “Well, (laughs) of course it’s very flattering to have one’s music adopted by so popular a group, and so good a group as Emerson, Lake & Palmer. A lot depends on what they do with what they take, and naturally since I have a copyright on such material, they’re not able to take it without my permission; so that in each case, where I have given my permission, there was something that attracted me about the version that they perform, which made me think I’d like to allow them to release it. Of course, I always prefer my own version best, but (laughs) what they do is really around the piece, you might say, rather than a literal transposition of the piece, and they’re a gifted group. In that particular case, I allowed it to go by because when they first play it, they play it fairly straight and when they end the piece, they play it very straight. What they do in the middle, I’m not sure exactly how they connect that with my music but (laughs) they do it someway, I suppose. But the fact that at the beginning and the end it really is the Fanfare for the Common Man gave me the feeling I ought to allow them to do it as they pleased.”

#DonnieDarko
I looked that up. Thank you. 🙂
That’s more my speed!
Yes, that happens.
Great minds thinking alike, Stel?
Indeed! LOL
All very cool to see it swimming around, but we never see it catch and eat anything. About 5 minutes more than necessary.
They have yet to film one eating anything.
♪Na-na-na-na-na Bat Squid♫
hahahahahaaaa!
It’s interesting how the music plays with you… Eerie music = Vampire Squid from Hell. Swan lake = Ballerina Squid (from Hell).
Aka Black Swan?
The poor lion has had enough of it! How is he supposed to sleep, tonight?
Our neighbor upstairs used to play that on her Hammond every.other.day…
I watched the Nylons perform it live in a very intimate club. Still gives me chills!
Once again I’m early… but I have a few things to do before I can get back.
I will trust you, my Cleo Crew and Puzzle People, with the solution while I’m gone….
Assuming that you wouldn’t peek before you solved it..
Not on a bleak and stormy night, with horrid creatures roaming the neighborhood, looking to suck the blood of cheaters.
….
Don’t be a cheater, or run afoul of Dracula or his ilk …
whatever an ilk is…
Just do your very best… and then….
Only got 8 this time. But I love this comic. How about you, Cleo? Cleo????
I could only find eight also. I will now see which one I missed.
Dang! Only seven this time.
Same here (again!)

SHOW LIST: “THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY SHOW”
I think I was introduced to her on a game show. What’s my Line, perhaps.
Loved the video!
Cleo? Do your watchdog thing!
I think she really ought to do some other dog’s “watchdog thing.”
I mean… we’ve seen hers, and, while I kinda hate to say it… it left a little something to be desired.
…
I’m not sure exactly which dog she should emulate… but there must be quite a few higher on the list in terms of alertness and protectiveness…
while perhaps being a little less inclined to respond with inappropriately high powered or lethal weaponry.
…
We all love Cleo… it’s not that we want to give her up, or really change her
in any w… um…well…. maybe in a couple of little ways… like … you know…. just one or two…. if that’s OK…
True. She even got her spot stolen while she was sleeping.
Got them.
That poor guy’s probably only in need of some pain meds for the arthrosis in his hands.
No surprise considering his diet.
It didn’t help….
…THE PLAGUE GOT THEM ANYWAY!
The Animals: “The Black Plague.”
anyone for some ice hockey? Then let’s have a FACE-OFF!
I’d love a translation of that price sticker.
The bit under “Bad Wolfy” are credits to the artist and photographer, but the
balance below the price listing becomes pixilated before resolving to legibility.
Here you are:
Nope. Every time i look at it’s just, nope.
c’mon, you’ve got to be able to face your fears…
You want him to do an about-face?

He looks like a fun-loving guy.
That reminds me, I’ve got a dentist’s appointment next week…
candy corn day!
beware of candy corn!
This GIF shows the kernel attacking your tooth enamel.
I admit to being a fan. It’s a guilty pleasure.
#Sabrina
Bummer, I only got 6 today! I’ll bet it’s because of all those creepy pictures. (Yeah, that’s it. Blame it on the pictures)
On a silly note, did anyone else think the Count was going to tickle Clara and Claude?
No, I never thought he was going to ‘tickle’. Maybe give them a kiss on the neck.
Nope, Maybe ride their motor-cicle…

The first time i ever heard that it made the hair stand up on the nape of my neck.
It still does.
Copeland rocked!
.
No doubt Cleo is going to spring into action in just a moment to chase Dracula away before he can nosh on Clara or Claude.
