You wouldn’t receive them for $43.97 anyway, Fly By Night would enforce the $21.98 price listed in on the order slip and order the remittance of the other 2 ¢ and a further processing fee of $7.98 to amend your order so it could be approved for shipping.
Further, Fly By Night would claim that as they held your order out of inventory awaiting your further remittance if you wanted your money back instead they would claim you returned it to them and point to the rest of the legalities on the order slip.
Hmmm… Well, it does say shipping is $19.99… 2×19.99= 39.98, and 2×1.98=3.96.
So I said “no, not $43.94,” because that would have been $39.98 plus $3.96.
…
Now I see that the order blank itself adds a bogus 2¢ to each order…. (which may or may not be related to the occasional 10 differences in our Saturday puzzles…) So I probably should have said it’s “not $43.96.”
I don’t quite know why you say $43.97 still would have been insufficient…
But in any case I sent my check for $3.96 for two sets, and asked for online delivery, which should be free.
….
I just realised that a large part of the $19.98 shipping charge is for handling!
They might have wanted to charge me that part, even with free delivery.
Gosh, I don’t even want my kits handled… I want them to be brand new.
…
I think I must reluctantly cancel my order, and hope that I can find “Cleo and Company” Haunted House Colorforms™ in my local store.
And that we still have a local store.
….
I wonder whether Fly-By-Night Outfit is even legit.
I hope they’ll return my $3.96.
I’d hate to have to pay my bank’s $17.33 fee, just to stop payment on a check for $3.96.
Everything came together today, and it arrived at my library branch. The cover is 131/2″ × 8 1/2″ and the illustrations are full size on their pages.
The story is simply written, and while it is not a fable, like Aesop’s Fables, there is much more to it than the words alone.
, in all seriousness, I think you could make a bunch of (put-your-title-here) points if you read it to your littles (I like that designation by the way 🙂). The pictures if nothing else will, I think, catch their interest.

from last year
..
Which hat?
The hat which is the witch’s.
Or at least which is the witchy type, which witches wear.
Which witch? Witch Hazel?
Too small. Too late for my eyes.
I’ll give it shot tomorrow.
I think I found it!
Happy Halloween everybody!
I think I see it… But I’m not very pleased with it.
On the right hand edge… Count up four rows from the bottom edge.
There’s a pair of small cats, almost identical to the ones just below them.
To the left of them, from our viewpoint… A dark gray triangle pointing upwards is probably the witch hat… though it looks more like the shadow of one.
It has a light zigzag on it that I think is actually the tail of the light gray cat that’s sitting next to it, on the left.
If anybody finds a better witch hat in the picture.. .. Let me know! With a spoiler tag, of course.
I found that as well.
Like you, I think the puzzle could have been better done.
That’s the one I found, too.
I agree with you on all counts.
I think I see it in row 7. but there is not enough of it to make it clear.
Got it!
…
Trick or Treat!
Those are costumes, right? Kids?
You just keep thinking that.
TRICK OR TREAT,
SMELL MY FEET.
GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT
LINK TO TRIVIA ABOUT THE PHRASE “TRICK OR TREAT
By all accounts, its original form was used here in Alberta, modified here or in Saskatchewan over the next few years, and then spread south.
trick or treating, maybe…..?
Love the cleavage(s).

The Triad: Superpug, Batpug, and Wonderpug. They’re invincible!
What a delightful gift!
And it even has a WHOOSH available!
From yesterday.
Thanks
I love this!
I’d like to order two kits! One for me and one for my sister, too.
The shapes on my screen are refusing to peel off!
Oh… maybe cos I haven’t sent my dollar ninety-eight yet… Or rather, three ninety-six.
No, not $43.94. You don’t need to ship them… Just put them in a reply. Or… How much to email them?
Um… the …um..check is in the mail…

A Halloween tale from our friends Olive and Mabel…
I only know one “character” who says AHEEE!
Purplie!!
Beetlejuice and Dean were both fun!
Going back to nighthawks’ picture posting on the 25th from

They haven’t seen each other yet; their goggles are fogged.
That’s why there’s no WHOOSH !
Sorry, couldn’t find a pic of a basset in a spider costume. This guy will have to do.
I believe he stars in a video shot by his human.
Frankenweenie?
A tiny bit scarier than you’d expect. 🙂 😉
Eeeek! A Tarantulabasset!
Maybe a Bassantula?
The one i saw was a mid size dog and the legs were made with pool noodles.
It was kinda big. If i find it tonight i’ll post it back here’.
Love the Dean videos. Dean has so much personality.
With a name like Fly-by-Night, they must be trustworthy. Rush mine today!
