I apologize for the invisible animation that is visible on my Mac. Evidently, this method of timing the animation and saving it as an MP4 file isn’t working.
Until I find a new way to post these, here’s another Halloween rerun from past years
Today’s Songs:
‘Star Trekkin’,’ ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘ Stayin’ Alive,’ and ‘Stray Cat Strut,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe ‘Blueberry Pear Crisp.’
This ‘Star Trek’ spoof hit number one for three weeks in the U.K. and made number 3 in Australia. The group is not to be confused with the band of the same name which had Jimmy Page as a member.
There’s a link at the bottom about the story of how ‘Start Me Up’ became the theme song for Windows ’95. There is a video of the commercial associated, a history of the song itself, and I didn’t realize that Jay Leno was also involved in the promotion until I did this research.
Not all disco was terrible, just most of it.
A question to ponder: Is the strut of a stray cat any more struttier (please permit the word) than that of a domestic cat?
The ‘Blueberry Pear Crisp.’ sounds good. I’ll make it sometime in early December and let you know how it turns out.
I’m seeing the animation just fine when I got here, oh, about an hour ago, still working when I refreshed a minute ago. The only difference I see now is Nighthawk’s text: Do you see this animation?
I’m on Safari, if that’s any help.
Yes, on a MAC.
I wasn’t aware of Apple maintaining a Safari version for Windows until you mentioned it (and I went to look it up). And you are correct, Apple has discontinued it due to “low market share”.
And now, after a second refresh, I now have the oldie/re-run animation as well as the original animation. Must had just gotten updated… WOO HOO! TWO for the price of ONE!
,
More pointy things!

That bridle is too too tight. Make that strappaloosa before the poor horse is hurt.
,
NOSE!
.
Aawwww. This poor guy looks so put-upon.
He seems a bit sluggish; nope, that doesn’t really snail it..
NOSE!
..
I can’t decide if that is digital art or a photo of a model/bust.
THIS IS A LATEX MASK DESIGNED AND MADE BY CASEY LOVE.

AN ARTICLE ABOUT BILL GATES, ‘THE ROLLING STONES’ AND ‘START ME UP’
LOL Star Trekkin, I never heard that before.
I have the Dr Demento album.
Includes Banned From Argo.
My Boyfriend’s Back is a funny song, full of cute couplets.
The Incredible Story of the Invisible Halloween Cartoon?
I was just posting about the same thing.
So you don’t see it either?
I guess it’s not my internet connection.
Nope, not your connection, not seeing a strip via Firefox or Edge.
i thought it was the doggie trick or treaters.
Does anybody see a comic here tonight?
Nighthawks promised a new Halloween strip for today… but all I can see are the videos and a gif.
My Internet is being incredibly slow,
When I got here hours ago, I couldn’t see any images.
I slept for a while, and now I see the rest… But no Cleo strip.
I even tried a different browser because Firefox is acting up at the moment – Mail doesn’t work, but fine with Chromium.
Do you mean you did see the animation with chromium?
Nope.
you don’t see the animation?
All I’m seeing (and apparently everyone else) are the four videos and gif beginning with “My Boyfriend’s Back” and ending with the dogs in costume.
Same, when I posted the above.
Now, of course, I see the rerun… the replacement animation.
That’s what I see now:
Do you see this animation?
I’m seeing the animation just fine when I got here, oh, about an hour ago, still working when I refreshed a minute ago. The only difference I see now is Nighthawk’s text:

I’m on Safari, if that’s any help.
For those of us who are Windows or Android based….
AFAIK, you mean you’re on a Mac…. right?
There was a windows version of Safari, but I don’t think it exists any more.
It seems to be an OS divide, not browser.
Yes, on a MAC.

WOO HOO! TWO for the price of ONE!
Sorry, I was on my last legs when I posted…
Still up at 6 am, but not for long.
AFAIK you can only post .jpg or .gif directly.
All the old Cleo strips are one or the other.
The videos are links, as are any other picture formats in the comments.
I’m not sure Mp4 will play here, even as a link….
And I don’t think Postimage will host them to try posting it in the comments….
though that could have changed.
Love the trick or treaters.
They’re not carrying bags… but then, I guess they don’t need them.
They’re happy to gobble up the treats.
When do you ever see a dog save something for later?
LOVE the crowd of trick-or-treaters.
What’s the latest on Stel?
No recent news, AFAIK.
no. no news
4 NOSES!
Cool efect there Cleo.
That’s better than dry ice fog!
I learned this existed from yesterday’s “Ripleys….”
