I don’t remember ever seeing or hearing anything about this movie. But, you did a great job on the poster, Stel. I know, I know ~~ thanks to Nighthawks, also.
I might understand “Eleanor Rigby” being mad at the “Taxman”, and I don’t think she’d be saying I “Love You To”, especially “Here, There And Everywhere”, but maybe in a “Yellow Submarine”, but then again, “She Said, She Said” “Good Day Sunshine” “For No One”. (it’s OK to breathe now). Then she said, “I Want To Tell You”, I’ve “Got To Get You Into My Life” because “Tomorrow Never Knows” what might happen. You might be chased by a mad basset with a punny Revolver or two.
Thanks! (Not that I’m taking any credit for making it, of course, but only for choosing it for today. I thought it had that perfect “film noir” element I was looking for. Glad you like it, too!!)
If you a running a P(ersonal) C(omputer), centre StelBel’s (mostly: nighthawks is given credit by StelBel as well) beautiful poster on your screen and use “ctrl +” (“ctrl 0” zero to exit) to magnify and see the details.
The poster holds its clarity.
I’m sure the United Canines version is more palatable to my taste, but I could only find a synopsis for the human version, titled “Gun Crazy” as posted above; it did not inspire me to go looking for it.
Yay ! ! !
The universe is looking after me !
Tomorrow I can pick up 8 kg’s of sugar for $6.65; a smidge over 17 pounds 10 ounces (I’m down to my last 1/2 kg).
That’s my sugar taken care of until, probably, mid December.
Sounds pretty lucky. I was curious how it compared. Best I found was 25lb (11.3kg) for $15.99 American ($20.20 Canadian). That’s equivalent to $11.32 American ($14.30 Canadian) for 8kg. You must bake quite a bit. I’d have trouble going through that much in a year.
Around here, I can sometimes find sales on 4 lb bags, almost 2 kg, for $2, i.e. 16 lbs for $8…
and more often if I buy Mexican sugar, which has an only slightly higher molasses content, and I prefer it. (It’s almost white, not quite as processed. Nowhere near as dark as “light brown sugar”.)
Close to $9 US if you add enough to make it equal 8kg. Still way more than you’re paying.
…..
But honestly, Alexi… Mid December?
That’s only 9 weeks away… You use up nearly two pounds of sugar a week?!
That’s in addition to any sweets you buy, ready made.
I hope you mostly make your own, and are sharing them with other people, not consuming all that sugar yourself.
Otherwise I’m not sure the universe is exactly doing you a favor.
It’s been a few weeks since shooting was over… I had no idea the big premier was happening last night!
I thought I’d get a warning shot.
….
I had a long day yesterday… didn’t get home till after 10pm, dragging my tail…
It included a long dogtor visit… plus several time consuming errands, a late dinner with a friend… and falling asleep a few minutes after I got in through the doggy door….
(I guess I should have written those as bullet points.)
I never saw this page till a little while ago.
….
What a cool poster…. well, there are a lot of cool posters here… I mean, all of you guys….
But I’m referring to Stel’s movie poster.
Hey, Stel, when you shot that photo, I didn’t know my skirt was torn like that. How embarrassing. Thigh….
…
And I see you also posted a shot of my hotel room on location…
But I swear that’s not my cigarette…
I don’t smoke… only my pistols smoke.
…
I’m not trying to skirt the issue…
But I gotta split for a while…
Maybe powder my nose…
hey Susan…glad to see you’re not lying in a ditch somewhere in northern California .
On behalf of Stel ol’ Bel ,who seems to be not home this evening, thanks so much for
your kind words about that pun crazy poster……skirt the issue….and split…
Hah!
[human version]
(Poster was suggested by Dennis in Seattle. Thanks, Dennis!)
Thank you, Stel! You took my thought much further than I could.
I cannot take all the credit, Dennis. I got a ton of help from Nighthawks on this, both with ideas and the basic sketch. I’m so glad you like it!!!
Now we have to wait for Susan Sunbasset’s response.
I never heard of the movie, but your poster puns were so fun, I didn’t care if there was real (human) movie.
I don’t remember ever seeing or hearing anything about this movie. But, you did a great job on the poster, Stel. I know, I know ~~ thanks to Nighthawks, also.
Never heard of this one also.
Can’t wait to hear Susan’s comment on it.
I just watched the human version a few days ago. It is not exactly an early Bonnie and Clyde, as some have claimed.
…
All-star Jam at the 1988 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions…..
….
Quite the cast on that song!
Wow.
Talk about the gang’s all here.

Phew! Good show!
Good night people and pets.
And i found this at the last moment for any guitar players out there.
I “learned” to play off a Pete Seeger LP. This guy could have taught post-graduate classes…
I can hear the buzz of the neon, and smell the stink of stale tobacco. 🙂
to me, that IS a really really cool .gif
Thanks! (Not that I’m taking any credit for making it, of course, but only for choosing it for today. I thought it had that perfect “film noir” element I was looking for. Glad you like it, too!!)
I think it’s really well done!
It does evoke that certain atmosphere, making you wonder what’s happening on the other side of that room…..
A little privacy, please!
Stel Bel, You did it! More puns than I could have imagined! And Susan makes a great Basset! This is a thrill!
Again, thanks to Nighthawks for all his help!!!
I’m happy that you’re enjoying it!!!
LOL
I made a printout of that for my wife to enjoy.

Loved the puns on today’s poster. Great job, Stel and Nighthawks. I can just see Susan Basset making all those puns up. Very funny.
Loved today’s music…………especially HARRY!

Hah!
Hope your nose passes the paraffin test..
I dunno, Steve… I’ve heard the paraffin test can’t hold a candle to newer technology.
But anyway, I always try to keep my nose clean… I learned the importance of that from old movies.
Susan, your skirt is not torn, that is a very fashionable slit to expose a modest amount of leg.
Love the poster!
Kudos again, StelBel!!
