More weirdness apropos of nothing.
I use Borax (yes, Ronald Regan / Death Valley Days type Borax). There is none in the city or surrounding towns, and several online sites say there is a limit to the amount one can purchase.
Going to the borax website indicates nothing awry, but there isn’t even an email, let alone a phone number, to reach the company.
It’s not the end of the world, and I’ll just go back to using straight detergent rather than a 50/50 mix, but it is annoying.
If, or when, it comes back I bet the price per 1.84 kg. box is up over $10.00 from around $8.00 right now.
I thought I’d hate it, but somehow I loved this movie.
Sue me, but I didn’t really care for Barkbra Streikibble at all, till I saw her in it.
I know her voice is great, but at the time, I just wasn’t interested in the kind of music… mostly old standards… that she performed.
Then there were her TV appearances and her other movies… all the schmaltz and overacting…. all the diva posing… she annoyed me in “Hello Dolly”, stealing Carol Channing’s part. (Not her fault, I know, I know.)
Finally, Peter Barkdogobitch (gosh, I hope I spelled that right) was apparently able to keep her in line.
She seemed get over herself, and be lighthearted and funny.
…
BTW… in that carpool karaoke clip… you can see her being light-hearted.
But you can certainly still catch glimpses of the underlying diva, as well.
Not sure when that was filmed… but she’s 80 now.
…
Speaking of Peter Barkdogobitch… only not too much, please… his life would make a movie.
Not sure I’d go see it… but a movie, nonetheless. A rather tawdry one, IMHO.
He was a writer who became an acclaimed director with his first directorial outings, and a Howlywood Boy Wonder…
Left his wife and daughters for an affair with a model, Cybill GermanShephard, when she was barely out of puppyhood, and made her a movie star.
They split 6 or 8 years later… and he fell for and married a Playdog Playmate of the year.
She was murdered, and he was devastated…. but he scandalously took up with her adolescent sister… whom he married when she (almost) came of age.
….
Anyway, if I didn’t say it, the poster looks great.
I was just looking at the human version that Stel posted.
Wow… look how many people compared to just two dogs!
I think it’s because the dogs have so much more star power.
All eyes are on them when they perform… so they don’t need to fill the screen (or the poster) with extraneous action…. cos no one will be getting bored without it.
The Yardbirds shouldn’t have….
To coin a phrase: “What up, dawg?”

Have you ever been to Boron Ca.?
You can taste the borax in the air.
Great poster for What’s Up Dog, and I enjoyed the carpool karaoke.
And today is the 39th anniversary of us being a couple.
Congratulations, Tigressy!
is today the date your honey proposed? what a romantic!
Not quite – let’s just say our friendship evolved to something more.
Ooh…. “What’s Up, Dog?”
