Amen to that!! That’s some fine playing throughout every section in the band and the dancers were ridiculous. As with people in every endeavor, there are dancers and then there are those two brothers.
That little pup definitely chose you to be his family. Maybe he liked your hat!

Give credit where credit is due. For a basset, even for Cleo, that was a fine dunk. She must have gotten at least a 3 foot vertical! If you have ever wondered what could possibly make a basset jump that high, wonder no longer. You have your answer.
Here’s yet another thing that Cleo doesn’t do like an ordinary dog.
A problem, if you’re expecting a ‘normal’ household pet…
NOT a problem, if you want your dog to star in her very own comic strip. Quirks are important assets to a ‘toon.
…
Actually, I see that Claude has come a long way…
He’s obviously beyond wondering why his pet is not an ordinary dog… cos he said “like everyone else.”
“Everyone else” doesn’t even include ordinary dogs.
…
If you were looking for a basset hound, maybe from a breeder, a pet store (not a good choice), a rescue group, or a shelter… you could search through ALL those places…
and you’d probably find one who’d be happy to eat a doughnut.
But I bet you won’t find one who dunks them in coffee…
much less, one who can set up a ladder and dunk it with a reverse jump shot (?) (or whatever you’d call that.)
Hmmmmm. Cleo just invented a new name for a chain of donut stores. And at each table they would have a ladder set up with a special ledge just for dunkin’.
I loved all the videos today. Toe tapping and earworm day.
Lately, this music used in a commercial for HULU has been playing frequently on TV and I’ve grown to really like it. I finally tracked it down and was surprised to discover that it was a BIG hit for Mel Tormé back in 1962. Maybe some of you will already have recognized it.
..
I have seen this elsewhere, though I cannot remember where or when, but it is so true. Even if the cat photo is severely altered.
It’s on wall plaques, fridge magnets, and T-shirts… along with the ones that say “Dogs have masters. Cats have staff.”
The jokes may be a little old…. but what keeps them selling is that they’re true,
…
Nice to wake up to.
Thanks.
You shouldn’t have.
Great music by Glenn Miller and fantastic dancing by Dorothy Dandridge and the Nicholas brothers. The movie was “Sun Valley Serenade”.
Thanks!

Thanks for mentioning the dancing, so I’d stay up and watch it.
The Nicholas brothers were always amazing.
…
BTW I remember looking them up awhile back, and seeing that their first real job in the entertainment industry was on the radio.
Uh huh.
the Nicolas Brothers are a treat to watch in every movie they made.
Cleo, next time put down a tarp!
I was wondering who was going to clean up that mess!
I had never heard of Acker Bilk so I did a little research.

I’ve always enjoyed Stranger on the Shore. So smooth.

Now that there is some comedy gold.
I have tickets to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra on November 12 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
You must be In the Mood to go.
I’m always In The Mood when my old lady puts on her String of Pearls.
If you’re going to an outdoor amphitheater, you’ll see the Moonlight Serenade.
or Cleo could have dunked her apple dumpling
or Monte Cristo Sandwich
Cleo will never do things ‘like everyone else’. How boring that would be.

A co-worker came in contact with someone with COVID. She has to isolate and test before coming back to work.
