Khao San Road in Bangkok, Thailand
These pictures apparently go back to 2012, so like the Met Life Building sculpture yesterday it may no longer be there.
They are each thinking:
A) There’s a face only a mother could love.
B) If I kiss it, will it turn into a handsome prince?
C) I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced.
D) Didn’t I see your picture in the Post Office?
E) If we team up, I bet we can take down Black Bart.
It will be well worth your time to go back to yesterday and Happy³’s posting of Pete Beard’s video of Virgil Finlay’s fantasy works.
Whether you like fantasy or not, Finlay’s work is impressive!
Anything butterscotch seems simple, but it takes practice.
I still haven’t got it right, but the neat thing is even failures taste good and can always be thrown on top of vanilla ice cream. 😋 😋

“BUTTERSCOTCH BREAD PUDDING”
3 cups milk 750 ml
2 well beaten eggs
3 tbs butter 45 ml
2 cups stale but soft bread cubes, packed 500 ml
1/2 cup chopped dates (optional) 125 ml
1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 ml
1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 ml
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed 125 ml
1/3 tsp salt (yes, 1/3) 2 ml
1 tsp vanilla (real not artificial) 5 ml
Scald milk, cool.
Add remaining ingredients.
Pour into a well greased casserole and dot with bits of butter and sprinkle with extra
brown sugar and nutmeg if desired.
Bake for about 1 hour at 350F (180C)
Serve with pouring cream. (10% milk fat, also known as half and half and cereal cream)
I’ll drink the odd rye-7 (my last one was better than 20 years ago), and tolerate an ounce of scotch on “Robbie Burns Day .”
I did win a bottle of “Old Parr” scotch whiskey in a lodge raffle about 8 years ago and decided to try it neat. I ended up stepping on it with water, after putting the bottle in the freezer to cool it down. It took me a little over a month to finish it (and that was just to get rid of it). The next one I won, I gave away; knowing the winning was more fun than the having.
I got curious and looked up the cost in a liquor store. Both were over $100.00. I’ve had better tasting weak lemonade.

i have the highest respect for the Blackfoot Tribe! we’ve gone to many of their lectures. many were members of the US military.

In this case, I think a dislike would actually be a “like”.

“Fair young maiden” indeed… though to be fair, her considerable charms are not the only thing that lures him to action.

He is dedicated, we all know, to freeing the poor people of the village from the likes of Commandante Slurez…
along with the horrid Mayor Asesinato…. I don’t like the sound of him, either..

But now… he’s been spotted!
Is this one of Slurez’s faithful minions…
or someone who’d just as soon look the other way?

Fresh bread cubes will work too.

I love anything butterscotch. Never tried butterscotch bread pudding ~ but I don’t really care for bread pudding.
