The drawing style is similar to “The Jetsons,” but it is not from that show. Here is a LINK to Rémy Simard’s page of children’s illustrations. It is easy to navigate to other pages at the site to see more of his work.
There is a short biographical bit in the “ABOUT REMY” box .
There’s always a certain look that makes his work unique. For want of a better word I’ll call it a “fleshy” quality.
Even the straight lines are a little rounded and bulbous; the “feet” anchoring the tube train supports to the buildings on the right look like parts of a living creature.
For a real R. Crumb touch, look at the flying… um… creature? … robot? … left edge, center… with exhaust flames coming out of its tail.
Thunderstorms with lots of rain here. And children happily playing in the back yard until a few minutes ago. Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
I can’t quit smiling.
Wallpaper associated with “The World of Warships” online game as far as I can tell.
The game is free, apparently, but you need 80 something gigabytes of space to download it, and it will occupy a bit over 58 gigabytes when installed.
That’s if I’ve done my research correctly.
This may be the Southern Dragon making its entrance.
The Western Michigan University Broncos have only four minutes left to overcome a 22 point deficit to the Michigan State University Spartans.
The University of Alabama Crimson Tide play tomorrow against the Utah State University Aggies (go Tide).

This is both a funny cartoon and a pretty easy puzzle, which I always enjoy when I am getting ready for bed.
I haven’t made this in ages! It isn’t a summer dish though; I won’t make it until late this month or sometime in October depending on the temperature.

” WELSH RAREBIT “
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon mustard (dry, or use 1/2 teaspoon prepared)
Few grains cayenne pepper
1 cup milk (whole milk 3.25% milk fat)
2 cups grated cheese
1 egg
Melt butter in top of double boiler, blend in flour, salt, mustard and cayenne pepper.
Gradually add milk.
Add grated cheese and stir until melted.
Pour some of the hot sauce over beaten egg.
Return to the double boiler and cook for 2 minutes.
Serve on toast.
Yield: 6 servings.
Notes from me:
I use “old” cheddar as a rule; “sharp” in American parlance. The toast must be heavily buttered for best flavour, I find.
I followed your link and found this at the end of it.
The 1906 special effects people could show the C.G.I. people of today a thing or two, I think.
As a side note I think the bottles had more to do with the dream than the rarebit.
I could find nothing on John P. Brawn (the fiend / dreamer) other than his birthplace, New York City; dates of birth Saturday, August 28, 1869 and death Wednesday, June 16, 1943 (73).

Rémy Simard
This is part of his children’s illustrations, but it apparently doesn’t have a title (there isn’t one listed on his own website).
Isn’t this from the Jetsons?

It looks like it but the characters aren’t Judy and George Jetson, and their family.
R. Crumb
I love R. Crumb cartoons and illustrations.

I agree with the “fleshy” quality. Moebius used something similar.
.
Wow!!
Had I known there were naked men inside the dragon suits….
had to go back and look. hee hee.
incredible!

Love this. Wish I could be standing out there. It all looks so clean and fresh. A lot of places could use that about now.
Thunderstorms with lots of rain here. And children happily playing in the back yard until a few minutes ago. Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
I can’t quit smiling.
we need that rain to put out all those fires on the west coast!
.
Tat face makes me happy.
Is that a jackass???
That’s no way to refer to Nighthawks, especially on his own website.
Oh, C’mon……I would never…….almost never.
The ears look muley, but the snout looks more donkey-ish.

Fantastic!
I’ve found all nine (only one can be classed as “sneaky”).
I think I know which one you mean.
The one i can’t find?
The Western Michigan University Broncos have only four minutes left to overcome a 22 point deficit to the Michigan State University Spartans.
The University of Alabama Crimson Tide play tomorrow against the Utah State University Aggies (go Tide).
This is both a funny cartoon and a pretty easy puzzle, which I always enjoy when I am getting ready for bed.
And I never imagined Cher singing this song!
I’m stuck at eight. I’ll try again in the morning.
The little kid in the Cher video is very cute. Cher seems to think so too. Any ID?
You cannot go wrong with Aretha Franklin.
By coincidence the came into my YouTube feed just recently.
Depending on when it was shot versus its release date, Christina Ricci is either late 11, 12, or early 13.
Edited in at 09:21 hrs. E.D.T.
See Sunsan’s comment below. She is accurate. The result of my research, other than Christina Ricci’s name, is not.
Cool. I never would have guessed.
The video is from 1990… and that’s Christina Ricci at ten, (looking even younger, I’d say… but she was born in 1980.)
The other young woman is Winona Ryder, then 19.
The three had just filmed “Mermaids”, released in 1990, Christina’s first movie…
but the next year, 1991, she became famous, playing Wednesday Addams, the role everyone remembers.
Even me, and I never saw either Addams Family movie.
Pretty sure I’ve found all nine in jig time. I should have taken video to be sure, and to have proof.
Got all nine this time. I’ll have to check with Susan to be sure. One was kinda iffy.
I thought it was gonna be babies.
Found number nine! 🙂
Here I am with the solution!
Maybe not to all your problems… but at least to the problem of where that pesky number nine might be.
Of course, your number nine might be my number seven, or two, and vice versa… but AFAIK… they’re all in there.
Be sure you give it the ol’ college try first, though!
…
BTW I think the panel itself is very funny…. and I also think this is the nicest I’ve ever seen Clara look. Long dresses look good on her!
Who are they coming to visit, all dressed up (well, Clara is, anyway.. Claude is Claude), and carrying flowers?
….
When you’re ready…
Didn’t want to say “outside” cos it might be a spoiler…
But it looks like Claude got ripped off twice between Panel 1 and Panel 2… that, or he’s really careless!
Not only is his wallet gone, but who would have taken a flower?
Clara’sw shoes are also pretty spiffy.
Excelsior!
To a shot-gun wedding at the hospital’s chapel next to the maternity ward?
they’re visiting Cleo. She had her nails trimmed the previous day and she is
such a drama queen
OK; less than a minute.
woo hoo! all 9. yay! it was fun (and easy)
I got all nine in record time too!
I found all nine pretty fast myself.
Pst: Long day? (Wrong date…)
As of 1am the page date is fine but not the URL.
I made the mistake—correctable on the page but URL cannot be changed

Another name for meatloaf – “Hackbraten” in German – is “Falscher Hase”…
Sweet dreams!

I was wondering, as I watched it, what they supposed he used to spike the rarebit. Or, if it WAS the bottled content, why the film was named as it is.
Are they headed to the paternity ward (for the guys that fainted in the delivery room)?
What’s the diff Saturday! Woohoo! Good morning puzzlers!
Thanks all for the fingers and toes crossed 🤞 yesterday. You guys are the best!

Still can’t catch my breath.
