I worked on mainframes till I was going overseas. I got a TRS-80 Model 100, as well as a more bulky suitcase knockoff of a PC with MS-Dos 1.1. It hade a 5″ white-on- green screen. But my eyes were better then. I could do all my statistical anayses without submitting to the abuses of our mainframe dictator.
Very good sound effects, Claude. I remember those. Sure glad you can have your computer on now and make a phone call. Kids twenty years from now will probably be calling these strange times.
That goose video was so sweet. That goose got lucky that those people were around.
I can’t remember our first computer, but it was amazing at the time! it made all those strange noises that claude described. and yes it took forever to do anything.
