“OK, Larry, you take the ball and drop back right, I’ll go left, and Jim, you go deep right. Tony head for the centre, and Billy, you block for Larry.”

Can anyone tell that my NFL Fantasy Football league has drafted and is ready to go?

Notic the that this crowd is “spectators”, not marchers.

There were several thousand marchers… some reports said 3 to 5 thousand, but others said 10 thousand, but they marched in an organized parade.

Most estimates of the.onlookers put their number closer to 250 thousand.. Brave women, to face that!

Some were supporters, but many more were hostile. At least in those days hostile meant taunting, name-calling, and some attempts to block progress, not actual violence.

The women had police protection, but apparently it was ineffective, and in the end, the cavalry was called in!

Note the huge crowd of spectators compared to the parade:

Any riders in those cars would be closing their eyes, tightening their seatbelts, and praying to whatever diety they thought would get them through this mess.

I have a feeling these cars, in the unlikely event that they exist at all, are about 2″ long, operated by something like magnets under the board.

The cars in each direction are identical, evenly spaced, and all are moving at the same speed.

So any of the (probably non-existent) ⅝” tall passengers actually have nothing to worry about 🙂

I tried to search for these…

I found several sites that said they’re violet Bettas. Some had comments saying ooh and ah… But on others, commenters said real violet Bettas are not that purple, and/or were arguing about whether these are real.

Who knows. They’re pretty though.

The fish are real, even if the color has been enhanced or altered.

Yes… sorry, I didn’t mean the fish themselves were fake… I should have said they meant the photo might be altered.

LOL… This is great.

I love the corny signs and jokes, but I couldn’t quite believe that even in Arkansas (sorry Rotifer) whenever this was, there would be an open-air saloon, so I searched the image.

I found it on several sites that merely presented it as an old fashioned saloon…. But finally, I found the truth.

It’s not a real bar, but a photo set-up… Have you ever been to a tourist spot or a fair that has a cut-out you stand behind, so your face is photographed on a muscleman, or had your picture taken in one of those places they lend you some old-timey Western gear and print it in sepia?

This is like that… Those ladies are just posing for a souvenir picture of their trip to Hot Springs.

Best description I found, but I have to edit it for length:

“Jacks Saloon Bar at Happy Hollow. An amusement park of sorts, Happy Hollow was established in the late 1880s or early 1890s by Norman McLeod off Central Avenue.. Nearly everyone that lived near Hot Springs in the early 1900s has one or more photographs taken there.

Visitors could have their pictures made in an old bathtub, riding on the back of a burro, or taking a drink at the bar (as seen here with a multitude of humorous signs!), which contributed to Arkansass hillbilly image”.

Meanwhile… I really like “Don’t kick about the drinks. You might be weak someday yourself.’

Another pic:

It reminds me of those images you stare at till they turn 3D.
They’re often set up in rows like this .. but if course, I don’t think it’s gonna work on this one.

I think Disney doesn’t own the most alien part of Fox, cos they only bought the TV and Film division, or Entertainment division, whatever it’s called.
