I knew you guys were joking, but I didn’t realize this was actually aboard the International Space Station…. no danger anybody’s even thinking of jumping off.
Several sites point out that this is a composite image. The wide-angle photo of Earth was taken on June 12, 2009 by an Astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS), capturing the eruption of Sarychev Peak, a volcano on Matua Island in the Kuril Islands in the Pacific, part of Russia. The astronauts were photographed separately.
I tried to find some reviews of the one from yesterday, and so far, only found more ads… a ton of different styles, different companies, all obviously AI. The ads all say they have 5,000 positive reviews, which not even good products on Amazon have.
I’d love to know what people actually receive…. And whether they truly believed it would be this.
One funny (to me) thing… a few descriptions, in spite of the big fluffy 3d cat heads in the pictures, said something like “cute cat print sweater.” (Emphasis mine) ..
That might actually be what you get! If you complain they could say their ad was truthful.
I was going to complain about messy artists spilling their sculptures all over the street.. but I discovered that it’s actually part of an ad campaign (wouldn’t you know it) for a UK cosmetic brand.
It’s a bottle of Rimmel Quick Dry nail varnish, ie polish, showing off how fast it dries.
The campaign included “real”-size versions for display in the shops… though it course not really made of nail polish.
sorry. is that just today or lately?…it was ok on my end—I guess I’ll have to stop using THAT Postimage wanna be.
I’m out of ideas…..I don’t like how WordPress makes everything the same size,
especially videos —but at least they are consistent. Ive been posting IMGBB images for a few weeks and I thought everything was fine.
Probably just a glitch. The images have been working fine for me, and I’ve visited 3 or 4 times just to keep up with what you’ve been posting. No problems on a few different dates that I’ve visited, either.
Usually it works.
Occasionally, it doesn’t… But it comes back.
One thing that’s different from WordPress upload or Postimage uploads is that clicking the image to enlarge it, which works for pictures from those two, instead takes you immediately to the IMGBB website.
Meant to comment last night on yesterday, about the Clint Eastwood photo, which has already been identified… I had googled it but forgot to post.
People were asking this afternoon about the motorcycle… So I wanted to still comment that in my note on the photo, I’d pasted….
“Where Eagles Dare. During the filming, Clint Eastwood purchased a Norton P11 Ranger 750 and was photographed touring through central London.
He had tested the bike at Brands Hatch during the production of the film, despite apparently being forbidden from riding it by the director over safety fears.”
It looked strange at the time, cos he was playing an American soldier, disguised as a German officer, and seen riding all over London on an English motorcycle.
@MoreCats… I just saw that you and I were both commenting about this around the same time…. It says 13 hours ago on both.
But you posted it on yesterday’s conversation while I put it on today’s, cos I don’t count on everybody going back.
It was 1am here, and I’d rechecked yesterday much earlier.
I guess we overlapped… If you were actually a bit before me, sorry!
.
Beautiful picture!
It reminds me of one of my favorite pictures of giraffes, drawn by a 7 year old girl, for the art show at the county fair.
They were supposed to draw around their hand, and turn it into a picture… This little girl was a bit more ambitious.
I took the picture 4 or 5 years ago but I saved it in my favorites.

Ewww! Worms!
She’s really rocking that outfit!
Don’t pay any attention to her. She’s got rocks in her head.
She wouldn’t have posed like that if she weren’t completely stoned.

Your town has the most interesting movies…
except Fresno isn’t my town—not that it wouldn’t be all that bad a place to be in….but the seventies were a good place to be almost anywhere…
except Southeast Asia

That’s like the grandkids getting me to chase them. I wear out lots quicker than they do.
Funny…. They both know exactly what’s happening, but they obviously enjoy the game.

Don’t jump! You still have lots of life to look forward to!
That’s okay. It will take him a looooong time to get there.
And he’ll have a loooooong time to regret it. As I understand (from those that have somehow survived), most jumpers do.

Weird that the story is so different.
I bet she was eager to give the birdies to a handler between takes.

All I get is “comment image.”
Ignore the above and below, they’re all there now.

I wonder if there was candy involved?
Kinda looks that way.
I looks to be a lab. Of course.
See my comment above.

Not a problem, just different.
it’s undependable—oh well….

They’re all odd…
Meanwhile, sorry, too fuzzy to make out the details, and too many to try hard to examine.

Ben Cur…. A real classic!
In superwidescreen… the best way to enjoy a basset movie.
Look at the teensy basset chariot drivers just below the title.
I keep forgetting…

The movie itself is pretty convoluted too.

No worries, as long as everyone saw the answer one way or another.
