Wait! So – at the end of a rainbow – where you used to find a pot of gold – you now encounter a tornado? Things have really gone to seed under this government.

If they are really specific to Siberia, I can see why they might tend toward fluffiness.

I’ve had fluffy cats, I can confirm this is the case with respect to the body/fluff ratio.

I must be really healthy.

I hate ice in my drinks, including ice water.

I don’t put bottled water in the fridge, or my Brita pitcher when I had one. I’ve occasionally asked for tap water in restaurants.

While I rarely drink soda, I do prefer it refrigerated, but if the only cooling option is putting ice cubes in it, I’ve been known to have a Coke straight out of the car.

You can call me crazy. I don’t care… you won’t be the first.

You may not judge those books by their covers, but you are able to tell their names instantly.

This wouldn’t be my first choice for a garden decoration!

Well sure, who wouldn’t have a use for a spare set of tires, or even snow tires?

I like it!

I would have painted it in less rattler-ish colors, but I think it’s clever.

If you drive from here out towards what we call the west county, you pass dairy farms, vineyards, small country properties, and bits of redwood forest, and a popular decoration for all this stuff is planters made of inside-out tires, usually with zig-zag edges.

The snake would be a cool addition.

Nary a one. I’m sure somebody here watched all those sitcoms (or whatever), but it wasn’t me.

Sure. George, Margaret, Wesley, Pat, Fred, and Florence. There. Got anything else that needs naming?

When I was learning maths I was taught that this kind of presentation of a maths problem is lazy. Any parts that either need to be done before others, or are grouped, should be in brackets to denote this.

So I would jot this down, assuming I’m working through a problem as:
(5×5) – 5 + (5/5) = ?
Then rearrange to become:
(5×5) + (5/5) – 5 = ?

Every time we have these I say they’re impossible without parentheses… Especially because kids are taught differently now from when I learned.

It’s easy to get A or C, though to me C is most correct. I can’t get B or D right now… But some people might get 23 [25 minus 2], or 19 [25 minus 6] and none are right or wrong without the problem being correctly specified.
