Sorry, sweetie… That only worked for Dumbo.

And besides, that was in a cartoon.

I’m afraid you’re earthbound.

I looked… and I blinked… and I looked again.
It looks like a cranberry bog.

Guess what… It is a cranberry bog.

Silly me and my preconceived notions.

It doesn’t mean they’re growing cranberries in a desert country where the men wear turbans. Men wear turbans, of course, everywhere, if it’s their culture.

I just never realized that a great many of the cranberry harvest workers in British Columbia are Sikhs.

This is from a photo spread on the 2008 harvest.

Same double-take. I knew it had to be cranberries. But in India? That’s just wrong. Thanks for the info.

Yup! Lots of Sikh cranberry farmers around here! And they’re mostly owners, not just workers…

Oh… sorry… Glad to have that corrected.

“Harvest workers” wasn’t an assumption I made; I was using information from several captions I found for this and a couple of similar pictures.

Really cute.

Having baked tons of cookies in my life, and…. um…

Okay… I just have to get over feeling a little weird about the association of dog butts and cookies.

Ahh… one I’ve never seen.

Just looked it up… It was in the early 70s, when I wasn’t watching TV, not the 60s.

Google maps shows it just this way. Lots of farming on the US side.

Oops… I left an answer but now I see an error in my ways…
Two actually

One was not really an error, without parentheses, because who can say where they were supposed to go….

But in what I consider the correct order… And with something I couldn’t see before…

I should have gotten
30

Now to peek, and see whether MCTS agrees.

I got:
7 + 7 + 7 = 21

7 + (5 x 7) = 42

5 + 9 + 9 = 23

(9 + 9) + 5 + 7 = 30

Nachos are not on the list?

Some nachos are worse than others… I make mine with real cheese, chicken and fresh salsa… lots of avocado if I can get it. More toppings than chips.

I don’t consider them junk food.

Nachos you buy at the fair or the ball park… A pile of cheap chips with canned cheese sauce… junk food.

Anyway there’s only one food for each country, and they already had Takis for Mexico… (though singling out one brand seems weird),v and they picked cheeseburgers.

Personally, though… I don’t consider most cheeseburgers junk food either, certainly not compared to gummy bears and doughnuts, and cupcakes with 4″ high frosting on top

Fair food is beyond junk.

We have those, plus deep fried, battered Snickers bars or pickles, and the worst, funnel cakes, which are like huge donuts, poured into the oil in piles of thin lacy strings, so they can absorb more grease, then you can get them with whipped topping and cherry pie filling on top.

There’s a booth with foot long hotdogs piled with toppings, some of which are deep fried.

And some state fair in the Midwest famously sells deep fried, batter coated chunks of butter!

There are plenty of worse foods than a lot on this list.

Cheeseburgers, meat pies, fish and chips, even pizza… I’m not going to say they’re exactly healthful, but if you don’t overindulge, and eat lots of vegetables and fruit with them, they’re not that bad…

Not like having sugar frosted flakes and chocolate cream pie for dinner. Drinking a 40 oz diet soda, or fake orange soda, like the teenagers in the mall.

IMHO some of the laboratory engineered fake meat out there is worse than beef, in its own way

I wouldn’t object to calling this…. I dunno… “Not the Best Dietary Choices”…

But there are so many junkier foods.
