Bats are creepy; bats are scary;
Bats do not seem sanitary;
Bats in dismal caves keep cozy;
Bats remind us of Lugosi;
Bats have webby wings that fold up;
Bats from ceilings hang down rolled up;
Bats when flying undismayed are;
Bats are careful; bats use radar;
Bats at nighttime at their best are;
Bats by Batman unimpressed are!…… Mad Magazine.
Aww… I’m jealous!
Not really, but I’d love to see one.
If I’d known you’d meet one, I could have sent you my address, so you could ask him to visit me. California is pretty far though.
It was a Western bluebird More Cats posted yesterday.
I’ve loved bluebirds since they flew around Snow White in the Disney cartoon when I was small.
.
Just look at that face!
“This IS my happy face!”
It’s just resting basset-face.

So what does it mean when you have over half on both sides?
That’s modern life. 🙁
you better lie down
Always a good idea
Naps are good!

I walked past two little kids doing this in a Walmart parking lot.
The parents were standing by the car, and one bigger kid was sitting sideways behind the little ones.
The spoiler wasn’t that tall, probably more decorative than useful, and there must have been more room on the trunk behind the window.

No fair! Bats are cute!
I think this one is being rescued at a wildlife center.

Guess which one is dominant.
.
But it’s still a team. More important at this age and stage in life.
can you find Punch, the monkey?
.
I find that heartbreaking.
He might just be in a nursery….
I used to visit the primate center at the San Francisco zoo… A lot of the babies were temporarily in a nursery, just like at a human hospital.
You couldn’t go inside but there were windows on the cages.
Or even if he’s an orphan, at least he’s getting help, not abandoned in the wild, prey for lions or hyenas.
This one got rejected by his mother.
Are not they all monkeys?
Maybe they are people in costumes, while one is real. Anyway, I’ve found little Punch. 🐒
Yeah, I don’t think he’s “the” monkey, but if he’s the one I think, I found him too

I’m not lazy. My back and knee are bad.
I have issues, but I’ll still take the stairs.

I have a friend (a forensic anthropologist) who really did wear a costume like that for Halloween….
I don’t think this one is a Halloween costume, though.
Just someone’s creative design.
I’d wear it, cos it’s funny… I used to have a long-sleeved black T-shirt with labeled bones printed on it.

Ring-necked Parakeet.
This is for Susan, regarding Eastern bluebirds yesterday.
Went to a local botanic garden in the afternoon and saw one!
