I give you the remastered version of the full movie.
1 hour 28 minutes and a few seconds.
The restoration was done by several countries’ film institute’s (I’m using institute as a general designation).
The music was done by “The City of Prague Philharmonic ” Leader Vladimir Pilar
The opening credits say:
After the novel “Dracula” / by Bram Stoker / Freely adapted by / Henrik Galeen
Everything pretty much has to be in translation, and there is some modern tinting of the full frames of the original film.

That is a lovely assortment of jack-o-lanterns plus flickering lights. Many styles of jack are displayed, and to have what appears to be a candle burning in each one creates a beautiful image.
BS&T has long been a favorite, which should come as no surprise for a former brass player. As virtuoso a rock band as could be found in their day.

Poor Linus. But Cleo has an anti-aircraft gun and, if I remember correctly, the Great Pumpkin “rises from the pumpkin patch.” As long as TGP remains earthbound, I think he’s okay. But don’t hold me to that.

Now what did he do to you to deserve this?
Yer over reacting again there, Cleo.

Henry’s story is inspirational. Poor guy, sitting there for years with his head hanging down, All he needed was some music to get his juices flowing. Kudos to his nurse!!

The BST selection is very appropriate to the season. “Only my dying will tell” Yikes! Sung so cheerfully.

I guess “Welcome” doesn’t always mean what I thought it did.

Maybe we should be a bit more cautious about stepping onto one of those ubiquitous straw mats at a stranger’s door…

Especially in Cleveland.

Twin 40mm Bofors oughta do the trick.

Toad Strangler: downpours of rains

red and yellow hog snots: The higher intensity rainfalls and Thunderstorms on the radar maps. Very little green or light rain

Thanks ~ I live a sheltered life. The weatherman said we were going to have this huge rainstorm today. All we got were a few light sprinkles. No strangled toads around here.

Quoting from:
The World Book Encyclopedia Volume 6 F
Field Enterprises Educational Corporation
Merchandise Mart Plaza
Chicago 54, Illinois
Library of Congress Catalog Number 63-7006
Page: 286 (The very beginning of)

The opening paragraph of an article titled FOOD.

FOOD is one of our most important daily needs. It
gives us energy to work and play. It makes us grow,
and keeps our bodies strong and healthy. Without food,
we die. All living things — plants, animals, and man —
need food to live and grow. But only plants make their
own food. They also provide food for animals and man.

There are leaders to pictures of the various items in this list, titled A Week’s Food
(The caption states these are average adult amounts, varying by age, sex, and type of work (same page).

Cereals and Bread — 2 to 7 pounds
Milk — 5 to 6 quarts
Meat — 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 pounds
Citrus Fruit — 2 1/2 to 5 pounds
Potatoes — 2 to 5 pounds
Leafy Green and Yellow
Vegetables — 3 1/2 to 4 pounds
Other Fruits and Vegetables — 3 to 6 pounds
Eggs — 6 to 7
Dried Beans, Peas, and Nuts — 2 to 4 ounces

HMMMMMMMMM……… 15.625 to 31.75 pounds listed weights per week plus milk and eggs.
…………doesn’t exactly seem like under eating, does it?
The next article, titled: FOOD, DRUG, AND COSMETIC ACT OF 1938 begins at the very bottom, right column, of page 299 (to be fair, there are lots more pictures, and charts, too).

P.S.

If you’re following the above diet as a finicky dieter (using weight), remember you’ll eat the two least masses of food, at the poles, and the most mass of food at the equator.

I see this one as a “find 9 differences” at some point.
