This design gets around.

A woman was wearing almost this exact thing on a t-shirt at the Wednesday market… But hers had a cat. Another customer said “Oh! I have that shirt, but mine has a dog.”

Since then, I saw an ad online that showed it on a mug (can’t remember which animal), but it said “I drink coffee”, instead of wine.

So I googled it to see where it came from… supposedly all derive from the character played by Peter Dinklage, who never mentioned books or specifics… but when he was questioned about his knowledge of something, said “That’s what I do. I drink and I know things.”

It became a meme and started showing up on t-shirts.

I have socks that say on the bottoms, “Quiet, Reading” on one foot and “Please bring me Wine.” on the other.

I left out the name of the show where his character said it … But probably everyone already guessed it was Game of Thrones.

Ooh… It’s Penny, from Sky King!

Oops, sorry, no spoiler box so far… cos I didn’t think anybody remembered the actress’ name.

I didn’t, but I’ll go look…. BRB…

Okay

… in case you’re testing yourself… she’s…

What’s John Wayne doing in a scene out of Star Trek?

Or, from her eye-rolling expression, a husband whom she knows thinks that in a few years she’ll look at the photo and agree that it looks ridiculous.

But he’s indulgent about it, so it’s okay.

Which is mostly in the file name as well, bit I searched before I saw it. Sigh….

As long as you don’t mind a slight flavor of odds-and-ends drawer…. rubber bands, pencil lead, erasers… pennies, matches…old keys…

Oh wow… the flashbulbs for that camera we threw away in 89….

I keep my kitchen-scissors with the rest of the cutlery.
Only food-safe items there.

Me too, of course. I have two pairs… Actually three, but one pair is difficult to hold because the thumb hole is large like the other side.

I was just being funny, or trying to be funny, which you’re trying to “correct”…

You see, those don’t look like kitchen shears.. They look like tool box scissors, or desk drawer scissors… which would be funnier than kitchen ones

I have two that look exactly like the one above that I only use in a food-safe way. Not like that – yet. Dish-washer safe, too.
No correction, just a fact.

However, I did see pictures that showed more of the balcony below, and it looks even more destroyed.

Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there–on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.
— Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot, 1994

NO!!! Not Taco Bell! More than once I’ve fed my bassets at Taco Bell on road trips. Do you have any idea how much of a mess a basset can make with a taco?

Taco Bell may not be the best option…

But be careful.
You don’t want to drive with a totally empty basset, either.

The pawing and headbutting could cause an accident, not to mention that the howls will be soul-shattering.

This is an experiment….

https://pin.it/5LuYNCzbs

Rats! I was hoping it would post as a video, but all I can get is a link.

It’s a bunch of cute bassets walking in the woods… if you want to see them, I suggest a right click (or long press on a tablet) and opening in a new tab or window, unless you’re good at remembering to come back here before you close it.

And give it a moment to start… or click, if that’s what it takes on your device.

Nor am I… I’m not a member of pretty much anything besides Cleo, and theoretically GoComics. And I subscribe to the New York Times, for now, unless my deal runs out.

But Pinterest doesn’t stop me from looking at someone’s page, only sometimes from following links or saving images.

It’s quite variable… The first time I saved this one, it only went to the person’s page, and you had to click the still image to see the video…. on about my third try, it let me save the direct link to the video.

Facebook used to not let me in, but now I can look at pages for a few minutes, but not scroll far, then it kicks me out.

Instagram used to let me scroll and save… recently it started not even letting me in.

Imagur, etc… all have different rules.

I’m surprised you can’t see it on Pinterest.

You may not see this, cos it’s been so long… But if you do, thanks.

Nothing like that is on the page when I look at it.

I’m not a member and I rarely go there.
I’ve never logged in.

I didnt download that video because it’s bigger than I wanted to store on my tablet… I did capture a still image, and used it to try to find the video elsewhere, which didn’t work.

The Internet is scarier than I like to think!
